Frequently Asked Questions

How do we name our Pistols?

  • The SSP Series – SSP series are our line of Gas Blow Back (GBB) pistols, utilizing compressed gas to shoot BBs and simulate the recoil of real firearms by cycling the slide with each shot for a lifelike shooting experience.
  • The SSX Series – SSX is our range of Non-Blow Back (NBB) airsoft guns, designed to shoot BBs using compressed gas without the moving slide action, offering a more efficient use of gas and a quieter operation for stealth gameplay.
  • The SSE Series – The SSE18 is our Automatic Electric Pistol (AEP) airsoft gun powered by rechargeable batteries to shoot BBs. They provide consistent performance in a compact form and for pretty cheap, ideal for players seeking reliability without spending much money.

What airsoft pistol is made for me?

Any airsoft player knows that airsoft pistols are a must-have when getting in close range with the opponent. A good backup airsoft gun pistol might just change the outcome of your fight. Novritsch Airsoft Pistols are made to compete, so which one fits your style?

  • The SSP2 – A more affordable sister of the SSP5. Brings a ton of features for regular users at a decent price. Since it shares a platform with the SSP5, it can also use plenty of its accessories, incl. flashlights, muzzle devices, and extended mags. Has a unique side mount for Red Dot users. PS: awesome metallic sound when shooting.
  • The SSP5 – Our premium-tier blowback pistol. Suitable for competition shooting and rifleless builds. There are 3 barrel-length options to choose from. Accessories range from colored parts, the lowest-sitting possible red dot, a universal holster, many muzzle devices, etc. Perfect for speedsoft builds. Power up to 1,5 Joule.
  • The SSP18 – A G-style Gas Pistol with blowback. Time-proven and reliable, this is the only gas pistol with Full Auto fire mode available. An array of spare parts and accessories are available, including colored and competition parts, carbine kit, universal holster, red dot, or flashlights. Compatible with CO2 magazines.
  • The SSX23 – Snipers’ stealth sidearm. Gas pistol that lacks blowback, making it more silent and gas efficient. Often used with a suppressor for silent hits and creating confusion. It has very decent ranged accuracy and still takes enough accessories. The frame is a bit bigger, but the average adult hand should be just fine.
  • The SSP1 – A Novritsch Classic. People still get it for its reliability and design. There are more modern solutions, but the SSP1, with its nickname “workhorse,” withstood the test of time. Heavier kick, enjoyable shooting experience, and readily available spare parts are among the selling points.
  • The SSE18 – Electric pistol. While lacking the kick of gas pistols and the moving slide, it is considerably more affordable (both gun and mags), as well as way cheaper to operate. Moreover, it does not suffer from winter temperatures. A Plug’n’Play solution. Our SSE18 uses modern LiPo batteries and includes Full Auto.

What’s the difference between electric airsoft pistols and blowback airsoft pistols?

Airsoft gas pistols tend to often have blowback action to give more realism and are powered by Green gas or Co2. If the GBB (Gas Blow-Back) models are much more realistic thanks to their moving slide, the NBB (Non-Blow-Back) replicas like the SSX23 compensate for the lack of sensation they provide with better reliability, a more economical price, and less gas expenditure. However, it should be noted that gas guns are quite sensitive to low temperatures, to the point of sometimes suffering untimely outgassing, a phenomenon accentuated with metal replicas with a moving breech. Electric pistols, on the other hand, don’t have any blowback system or gas operation yet are very fun to use. They have slightly less power but will always shoot thanks to their battery and require minimal maintenance.

How far can an Airsoft pistol shoot?

While airsoft pistols cannot outrange a sniper, our best airsoft pistols can compete with AEGs and maintain proper accuracy at 50 meters. Don’t hesitate to run pistol-only, especially in close-range environments.

Do I need an airsoft sidearm?

As a sniper, yes, and most fields will oblige you to have one. As an AEG player, that depends on whether you expect to engage in close ranges, but it’s always preferable to have one for practicality, and in case your primary has a malfunction. “Remember, switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading” -Gaz

What is the most powerful airsoft pistol?

In all fairness, there is none, or rather it depends. While there is no single pistol that is known to be the most powerful in the world, the power of an airsoft pistol will depend on the gas inside of it and the ambient temperature. Yet, you can always connect the pistol to HPA and give it the power you want… (not recommended, though) What is the best airsoft pistol, however, is a good question. It requires the perfect balance between power, accuracy, reliability and sensation. This is what we intend to provide with our range of pistols options to adapt to your preferences.

How much money should I invest in an airsoft pistol?

Overall it depends on your budget and needs, but generally, below 200 $ is a fair price. Keep in mind the price of magazines as well; a magazine of 35 $ is considered the standard. Above 200 bucks usually only makes sense for premium competition pistols and pistols intended to replace your primary weapon! If you are on a budget, it might be worth considering getting an AEP such as the Novritsch SSE18. Electric pistols are generally a bit cheaper to both purchase and run. Plus, the magazines cost only a fraction of their gas counterparts.

How do we name our Rifles?

  • SSR Series

SSR series of rifles are our AEG (Automatic Electric Guns). As the name suggests, they are powered by batteries. They are the most common replicas in general. They are also the most affordable.

  • SSX Series

SSX is our range of Non-Blow Back (NBB) airsoft guns, designed to shoot BBs using compressed gas without the moving action, offering a more efficient use of gas and a quieter operation for stealth gameplay.

  • SSQ Series

The SSQ is our range of GBBR (Gas BlowBack Rifle) utilizing compressed gas to shoot BBs and simulate the recoil of real firearms by cycling the action with each shot for a lifelike shooting experience.

Electric Airsoft Rifles VS Gas Airsoft Rifles: Difference?

There is a substantial difference. In general, Gas Airsoft Rifles are about immersion, realism and snappy action. With Electric Airsoft Rifles, the key focus is on simple operation and efficient firepower.

In most cases, going electric is the option recommended to beginners. That is for a good reason. You plug in the battery, load it with BBs, and your gun is good to go. Almost no maintenance is required and these replicas offer a great deal of reliability these days.

With Gas Rifles, it’s getting a bit more tricky. You have heavier, more expensive magazines. You need to keep your rifle fairly maintained and you generally don’t get as much firepower as you would with an AEG. Yet, many people opt for the Gas Rifles as the feeling you get from them is purely awesome. However, you need to know your way around in airsoft a bit in order not to get outplayed.

Can Airsoft Rifles shoot Full Auto?

From a technical standpoint, yes. Most of the rifles can easily go Full Auto. This is especially true with the SSR90 and the SSR4. However, you should make sure that you are legally allowed to shoot/buy an airsoft gun that can do Full Auto.

For instance, in Germany, you can only get a Full Auto replica if the gun is under 0.5 Joules. But don’t worry. We have you covered on this one. Just check the gun you like and you will find this information right in the description!

How to make Airsoft Rifles more powerful?

This depends on how powerful you want your Rifle to be. With electric replicas from NOVRITSCH, you get up to 1,6 Joules with the stronger variants, which is easy enough for all outdoor fields. Before going up with the power, you should always check the limits of the place you intend to play in.

With our replicas, we don’t recommend going up with the power. You can sometimes increase the output power with other replicas by checking the air seal (especially in the Hop-Up chamber) or exchanging the spring. Just be aware that a spring that is too strong may damage your gearbox!

What is the best Airsoft Sniper Rifle for me?

There are multiple solid options for spring sniper rifles and airsoft snipers in general. When selecting, you should consider how experienced you are, where you play and what are your preferences. Having played for years as airsoft snipers, we know that this role is not for everyone. If you’re just starting, you will face off AEGs who have more firepower compared to a bolt action rifle. That’s why you might want to trade out some of the range for firepower. A great compromise here is the SSX303 DMR. The same goes if you often tend to play on a CQB field where snipers have difficulty finding proper angles. If, however, you have a forest field around and are aware of the spring-powered rifle drawbacks, there are two main options: The SSG96 and the SSG10 platformThe SSG96 is a classic, following a beloved design language while having all the upgrades you’d ever need. The SSG10 platform, on the other hand, offers the same performance but in a slick, customizable package. There, the optimal answer depends on your personal feel and preference!

Are there any laws and regulations on Airsoft Sniper Rifles?

There are two types of regulations you should be aware of: the local law and the field rules. Law concerns depend on the country you are from. This applies especially if you’re from France or the UK, where there are some limitations. Most of the time, you need to be at least 18 years of age. The best thing to tackle these is to check out our Shipping Overview.

When it comes to local field rules, make sure to check how strong your sniper rifle can be to comply and then choose accordingly. Remember that with bolt action sniper rifles, you can always buy a spare spring to easily adjust performance.

How fast can an Airsoft Sniper Rifle shoot?

The correct answer is strongly tied to the power variant of the rifle you choose. The strongest airsoft sniper rifle you can get from Novritsch shoots at 5 Joules, which is roughly 700 fps or 210 m/s with 0,2 g BBs. Anything below that is easily achievable with a weaker spring. That’s why we also offer 500, 460 or 330 fps variants of our rifles.

Are Airsoft Sniper Rifles best when spring/bolt powered?

In our opinion, yes. There are other alternatives, such as HPA snipers but the options we offer have proven to be accurate, reliable and simple to both use and maintain. This combination is super-grateful when it comes to airsoft sniping.

How do spring Airsoft Snipers work?

The system is fairly simple. Inside such a rifle, there is a piston that is powered by the spring. The piston compresses air that later gives the required energy to your BB. You, as the shooter, have to compress the spring every time you want to fire. This allows for fewer parts in such rifles – giving them their longevity.

What are the benefits of Airsoft Sniper Rifles?

As mentioned earlier, these systems are very reliable and can withstand many airsoft games without the need for maintenance. Moreover, the sniper rifles from Novritsch are one of the most accurate systems you can get out of the box, allowing you to outrange and outplay most other players.

What is the most popular type of Airsoft Sniper Rifle?

The SSG10 A1 Rifle is our most popular spring-powered sniper. This is due to the fact that it offers a premium level of accuracy and consistency within a compact body for an exceptional price.
